Happiness is, of course, subjective. I would say, I have had a huge dose of happy the past few weeks, and I just have to share.
Fun new bike!
Cooking and baking project, leaving behind a mess, but some great tastes!
Big boys being cheesy, rocking cool hair, and mud-splattered after a bike ride.
Adorable purple shoes.
And everyone all fancy for Easter. Happy Spring!

Birthday Bonanza
It was always fun that Jon's birthday was exactly a week before mine (8 days on leap year.) My due date for the boys was something like March 20th, but I was SO excited when they were big enough (and I was HUGE enough) to deliver them when I was 37 weeks, and my dr thought that their birthday 03/04/05 was pretty cool, so we ended up with the majority of our birthdays in the same week.
This year the boys turned 6, and Jon and I turned 30. Normally we just do something small for our birthdays, and something big for the boys. But, hey 30 is a big number, a new decade, so we decided to go for it and have a day of party.
The day started out with a "Mario" themed party, full of other six year olds, and pretty typical backyard/basement games. It was a good (crazy) time.
Then a family dinner out followed by tucking the kids in bed and getting a babysitter so we could go to a party for grown ups at Laura's house! YAY!!!!
Hello Beatles Rock Band!!!! Overall such a good birthday celebration, we are so blessed with great family and friends who love to have fun!

Hernandi 5.0.....Or could it be Hernandi Five-O??
Either way, I am finally back to blogging. Not for any real reason, other than to keep up with my life, and I just want to have it all saved somewhere. I used to have a blog, just entitled "The Hernandi" which is what my dad decided long ago was plural for Hernandez, but I no longer have the email account that is connected to that blog, nor do I know the password. I did just look at it though, here is the link:
http://thehernandi.blogspot.com/
As you can see, it has been awhile since I last have had a blog. Paul was almost 3 in that shot, and now Luke and Paul are 5. At that time we were renting a duplex, and we now are buying a house. We had Delilah, the lovable but semi-psychotic Goldendoodle (she had unhealthy attachment issues.) Now we have our mini poodle, Ace, smaller, less needy, and super smart. Which brings me to the next addition. At last blog entry, we had two almost three year olds, and not even a sparkle in anyone's eye.....now we have Aven.
Aven Jayne Hernandez, is 15 months old and everything her brothers never were. They were polite, well mannered, calm, rather easy little boys. She is, to use the word so wrongly and frequently assigned to her brothers, a handful.
Speaking of the boys, they just started KINDERGARTEN. How crazy is that?! I am so proud of them and impressed with how well they are transitioning to the big kid school. They even ride the bus to school (we pick them up.) They are signed up for sports this fall, Luke will do tennis and Paul will be doing soccer again. I am so excited and can't wait to see them out there!
